Good afternoon, everyone,Well, it’s finally here — Tow Trade Show week!On behalf of the PTAO, I want to say that we are really looking forward to seeing everyone at the show. Our hope is that we will have a great turnout this year, as we have once again put together a great show with a lot of valuable information and opportunities for our members and the entire towing community.There are two areas in particular that I would like to highlight and encourage everyone to attend.Friday September 11: Panel Discussion: Hosted in Heritage Room A: 3:30-4:30pmSponsored by North Algonquin Towing & RecoveryWe will be hosting a panel discussion featuring:• Justin Cruz – WreckMaster• Henk Ruitenbeek – OPP• Chad Hallman – PTAO Lobbyist• Gary Vandenheuvel – PTAO PresidentThis is going to be a very important discussion for our industry.The OPP will be speaking about the upcoming changes to their dispatch system and what those changes will mean for towing operators.The PTAO will be providing an update on several important industry issues, including the work we have been doing regarding the new pricing structure being proposed under TSSEA.Chad, as our lobbyist, will also be talking about the work we have been doing behind the scenes with government, including the progress we have been making and the discussions taking place on behalf of our members.I believe this is an excellent opportunity for our membership to hear directly from the people involved in these changes and, more importantly, to understand where things are headed and what PTAO is doing on behalf of the industry.Saturday September 12: TSSEA Regulatory Update: Hosted in Ballroom B 12:00-1:00pmThe other session I strongly encourage everyone to attend is the one-hour presentation with representatives from TSSEA.Two representatives from TSSEA will be discussing and explaining some of the new regulatory changes that have come into effect this year.I think this is an extremely important session for every towing operator. These are changes that directly affect how we operate our businesses, and having the opportunity to hear directly from TSSEA and ask questions is something we should take advantage of.These are two sessions that I believe are particularly important for our membership, and I would really like to see as many of you as possible attend both.The Tow Trade Show is always a great opportunity to see old friends, meet new people, learn about what is happening in our industry and, most importantly, come together as an association.We have a lot happening in our industry right now, and there has been a tremendous amount of work taking place behind the scenes on behalf of the PTAO membership.I look forward to seeing everyone at the Tow Trade Show.
