As we prepare to honour Kaveh Bigdeli, we are sharing important details regarding the upcoming tow truck procession. To ensure a safe and organized event, the OPP has requested that all participants register in advance.

Tow Truck Procession – Public Statement
On Saturday, December 13th, 2025, tow operators from across the region will unite in a memorial procession to honour Kaveh Bigdeli and stand together in support of his family, friends, and fellow operators.
Muster Point:
135 Gateway Park Drive, Kitchener (Cineplex parking lot)
Roll-Out Time:
10:30 AM
Procession Route:
- Depart from the muster point
- Travel down Tu-Lane Street
- Turn left onto King St. E
- Enter Highway 401 Westbound
- Continue west on Highway 401 to Oxford Road 2 in Woodstock
Drivers wishing to travel farther west may continue toward London.
Those returning to Waterloo Region may turn around at Oxford Rd 2 and rejoin the eastbound lanes to return along Highway 401 Eastbound.
This procession is a show of unity, respect, and remembrance. We kindly ask the public to be mindful of the procession, allow space where needed, and join us in honouring a life tragically lost in the line of service.
Important Reminders for Participants
To ensure everyone’s safety and to maintain the dignity of the procession, please note the following:
- All traffic laws must be followed at all times.
- Hazard lights and yellow beacons may be used.
- Please drive respectfully and maintain safe distances.
- The far right lane will be used for the procession to avoid impeding traffic.
- All participants are expected to follow posted speed limits.
- Registration is required for all attendees.
- Only commercial vehicles (tow trucks) are permitted to participate in the procession.
- All participating tow trucks must have emergency lighting.
- No Christmas lights or decorative lighting are to be displayed on any vehicle during the procession.
